Following threat from Ethics Commission, former Chair Paddie will not lobby for the remainder of session
Former Chairman Chris Paddie ’s attorney Ross Fischer sends along this updated statement: “In light of yesterday's Texas Ethics Commission advisory opinion and in continuance of Mr. Paddie’s efforts to comply with the law, he has decided to terminate his lobby registration effective today. We will weigh seeking formal guidance from the Commission on how a former lawmaker can best comply with this new opinion. In the meantime, Mr. Paddie has chosen to deregister and cease all lobby activities.”
